Good morning everyone! Today I wanted to share a few pieces that I got from Express this season! I’ve been clearing out my closet – doing a MAJOR purge of everything and anything that doesn’t fit me right, is worn out, or just doesn’t make me happy. One of the things I’ve noticed with my now much smaller wardrobe is that I don’t have any good sweaters! The last sweater I had purchased and actually loved was from Express. So I decided to take a look and I got lucky and scored these few items while on a huge sale!
I’ll be honest I don’t typically shop at Express that much but I do occasionally find really good pieces. I love that Express is usually on the more affordable side but still really good quality. None of the pieces I have purchased have ever torn or fallen apart. I almost want to say that they’re like a much more affordable and definitely a much better quality, Forever 21. (I don’t shop there anymore because nothing I bought ever lasted me longer than a month or two but let’s face it, they do have some pretty cute items!)
Anyways… Here’s what I purchased, I know it’s not that much but like I said – I’ve found really good pieces!
1/ Oversized Shaker Knit Deep V-Neck Tunic Sweater – Originally $49.90
So I actually purchased this in three different colors – Maroon, Wren Grey, and Deep Teal. And I am so sorry, I don’t think Wren Grey is available anymore online BUT you might have some luck finding it in stores! It is such a pretty, soft mauve/nude brown color – I am in love. Any of the colors are great though, Maroon is obviously a Fall staple and Deep Teal is such a fun color, perfect for any upcoming holiday party.
2/ High Waisted Sexy Stretch Printed Leggings – Originally $39.90
Camo is back and I couldn’t be happier! I have loved camo since elementary school when I was still in my tomboy phase. Needless to say, I’m glad I’ve grown out of that stage and that I can still implement the pattern into my wardrobe now. Army camo that is – not the hunting camo like my husband prefers haha!
3/ Double Ruffle Oblong Scarf – Originally $39.90
Scarfs are my favorite go-to accessory. I live in Washington state so I get use out of these year-round and since purging my closet, I have only two scarfs in my wardrobe. I actually can’t take credit for finding this one… I saw it on another Instagram fashion blogger’s page but it is such a great find! I saw these available in two different colors and opted for my favorite color of course – Silver Grey!
4/ Faux Leather Leggings – Originally $49.90
So while I absolutely love every single piece in this mini haul, I am OVER THE MOON for these faux leather leggings. I have been on the hunt for a good pair for probably about two years now. And I did take a good look at the ones all the fashion bloggers are talking about – the faux leather Spanx ones… However, I had previously purchased two pairs of Spanx leggings and I was not impressed. They pilled horribly and I could not justify spending that kind of money on yet another pair of leggings that I was not exactly excited about. Which is why I am SO happy to have found these! I was just searching along on the website and read the glowing reviews, thinking I could just return them if I didn’t end up liking them and turns out they really are worth the hype! They don’t look cheap, they are stretchy, comfortable, breathable, and best of all – affordable! (I’m usually an all-leather type of girl, but I do have to say that leather stretches over time and leggings or pants would end up getting loose. So, the few pieces of faux leather I own are for good reason.)
Express is always having sales and coupons so if they aren’t on sale when you get a chance to look, check back often! I believe I got every single piece under $30. And if you’re placing an order online, don’t forget to go through Ebates because they’re offering 2.5% cash back until October 30th!
What are your favorite pieces for this years Fall season? Let me know in the comments section below. Thanks so much reading today, I am excited to finally getting back into the groove of things. There will be so many more posts to come!
