So, I think my husband and I got pretty lucky… Lily was and still is a drooly baby, but she was never super fussy about her teeth. It didn’t even really occur to me that I probably should’ve bought some type of pain reliever for her to have on hand. Tylenol came to mind but after doing some research and of course, my own desire to use more natural products, I decided I needed to find an alternative.
I do have a post coming up on what we used and what worked for Lily when she did start to get fussy but I just had to talk about this! I did a few different searches on Amazon and came across Camilia – that had tons of amazing reviews.
Camilia is made from chamomile with no preservatives and is benzocaine free. They come in convenient little packs of 5 sterile dose droppers. It contains no dyes, lactose, flavors, sugar or artificial sweeteners. And the best part? It works!
My daughter actually wants to take it when we go to give it to her, like she knows that it’s going to help her. I did tried it myself first – as I do with just about everything I give her, and it just tastes like water, so it’s not even about the flavor to her. And I think that’s just something that makes it even better because if your baby is already really fussy, the last thing you want to do is agitate them even more by trying to give yucky tasting medicine… I always carry a pack of these with me now especially since her two bottom baby teeth are coming in.
I love learning about natural products for babies, if you have any other recommendations let me know – my inbox is always open!
