Happy Friday! I wanted to share a few more last Friday favorites before I start slowing down on them… I do have an update coming for my blog where I will be talking a little bit more about what my blog has in store for 2019.
But today’s post will focus on the sippy cup that has my now 7-month-old exclusively breastfed baby occasionally sipping out of our own adult cups like a pro!
The one we use is the Spoutless Sippy Cup by Munchkin. I only use it for water, and I have it with me whenever she eats anything. As an exclusively breastfeeding mother, I don’t find it very convenient to have to whip out a boob to give her a drink every few minutes… But I do think it’s important to keep my baby well-hydrated and it helps her food go down easier as we’re now starting to feed her crackers and dry snacks as opposed to just purees.
I love the design, it is absolutely genius because it encourages a baby to sip from it as you would from a normal cup! And as you may know from my pacifier Friday favorites post (linked here), I have a serious concern for making sure that my baby’s teeth and gums stay as healthy as possible… So it’s pretty cool that it’s actually dentist recommended!
And personally, I have a bad habit of chewing on my straws, it drives my husband nuts… I have to say that it’s probably from being given a straw at a very young age, and of
My husband also loves the design. I made him try it out and he was just as pleasantly surprised as I was. And in case you haven’t figured it out yet (my husband didn’t at first try)… All you do is tilt until water reaches the lid and sip! It took a few days for Lily to pick it up but since then, she’s been doing great.
I do worry about the silicone maybe loosening up or stretching out from multiple washes but I’ve had it for a couple of months now and it still has a nice seal; even after Lily dropping it off of her high chair. It does leak sometimes (I don’t think that it has anything to do with dropping it since its done that since I first bought it) and that’s the reason I don’t keep it in my diaper bag but it’s very minimal and it’s just water so it doesn’t bother me much.
My husband and I are always amazed at what our little baby can pick up so quickly with just a little bit of love and patience.
